About Our Products
Are your products really handmade?
Absolutely! Every product is crafted by hand on our Vermont homestead. No factory lines, no mass production—just our family creating small batches with care and attention to detail. Sometimes you might even find a fingerprint (kidding... mostly).
What ingredients do you use?
We use 100% natural, organic ingredients whenever possible—pure herbs, spices, essential oils, and botanicals without synthetic additives, artificial fragrances, or preservatives. We believe in keeping it simple and letting nature do the heavy lifting. Check individual product pages for complete ingredient lists.
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
Most of our products are vegan, and all are cruelty-free. We never test on animals (except our own skin, and we volunteer enthusiastically). Some products may contain honey or beeswax from local, ethically-kept bees. We clearly label any animal-derived ingredients on product pages.
How long do your products last?
Because we skip the synthetic preservatives, our products are best used within 6-12 months of purchase. We make everything in small batches to ensure freshness. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and they'll stay happy longer.
Do you make candles to order?
Yes! Our candles are made to order, which means we pour them fresh just for you. Each candle needs two days to properly make and cure before it's ready to ship. This ensures you get the best quality candle with optimal scent throw and burn time. Good things take time, and hand-poured candles are no exception!
Can I request custom products or scents?
We love custom requests! Reach out through our contact page with what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to accommodate. Keep in mind that custom orders may take a bit longer since we're crafting them specifically for you.
Ordering & Shipping
How long does shipping take?
We typically process and ship orders within 3-5 business days. Note: Candle orders require an additional 2 days for making and curing before shipping. Once shipped, delivery times depend on your location—usually 3-7 business days within the US. We'll send you tracking information as soon as your order ships so you can stalk your package like we do.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship within the United States only. We'd love to ship worldwide someday, but for now, we're keeping it domestic to ensure product freshness and reasonable shipping costs.
What's your return/exchange policy?
We want you to love what you order! If something arrives damaged or isn't what you expected, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll make it right. Due to the nature of handmade skincare and bath products, we can't accept returns on opened items, but we'll work with you to find a solution.
My order arrived damaged. What do I do?
Oh no! Contact us immediately with photos of the damage, and we'll send a replacement or issue a refund. We package everything carefully, but sometimes shipping carriers get a little too enthusiastic. We've got you covered.
Sustainability & Our Practices
How eco-friendly is your packaging?
We're committed to plastic-free, minimal packaging whenever possible. We use recyclable glass containers, compostable materials, and reused/recycled shipping materials. If you receive packaging that can be reused, we encourage you to give it a second life!
Are you really waste-free?
We strive to be as waste-free as possible, which—let's be honest—is challenging in today's world. We're not perfect, but we're committed to continuous improvement. We compost, reuse, recycle, and make conscious choices every day to minimize our environmental impact.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We source organic, sustainably-grown ingredients from trusted suppliers, and we grow some herbs right here on our homestead when possible. We prioritize local and domestic sources to reduce our carbon footprint and support ethical agriculture.

Who runs Green Mountain Rose?
We're a family of six—Peter, Ronilynn, three teen daughters, and our son—living on a half-acre homestead in Vermont. We're a blended family who traded West Coast life for Green Mountain living over a decade ago, and we've been growing, creating, and learning ever since.
Can I visit your farm/shop?
We love the enthusiasm, but we're not set up for visitors at the moment. Our homestead is our family home and workspace, so we keep it private. However, we share plenty of behind-the-scenes content on social media—follow along for virtual tours and homestead updates!
Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?
