About Green Mountain Rose

Green Mountain Rose is more than just a name—it’s a reflection of our journey, our family roots, and our commitment to sustainable living. Our story began in Oregon, the City of Roses, and took deep root in Vermont, the Green Mountain State, where we now grow, thrive, and create.

We are a blended family of six: Peter, myself (Ronilynn), our three teen daughters, and our son. Over six years ago, we made the move from the West to Vermont—Peter returning to his East Coast roots, while the rest of us crossed the Mississippi for the first time. Shortly after settling in, our son was born, making him the only true native Vermonter in the family (yes, that’s a real thing!).

On our half-acre homestead, we’ve embraced the challenge of restoring what was once a stunning ornamental garden, shaping it into something that reflects our values, creativity, and way of life. Our focus is simple: family, sustainability, and quality craftsmanship.

As an unconventional but tight-knit blended family, we understand the beauty and challenges that come with creating a home, a business, and a lifestyle that aligns with our beliefs. Through hard work, eco-conscious choices, and hands-on involvement, we strive to cultivate a space that nourishes our family while producing high-quality, handmade products that reflect our love for the land and animals.

We are committed to living as waste-free and plastic-free as possible, which is no easy task in today’s world. Our goal is to offer sustainable, handcrafted goods at a fair price—because we believe that everyone should have access to products made with integrity, care, and respect for nature.
